March 2023 Product Update: Advanced Planning and More Efficient Management
We're pleased to introduce several significant enhancements in this month's Pegasus Edge update. These enhancements span various modules and are designed to make planning and management more efficient and effective.
Create a Chart of Accounts for Next Year in Accounts Maintenance
Creating next year's Chart of Accounts in Accounts Maintenance is now possible. This usually happens automatically during the Year End process, but you should complete the accounts earlier. For instance, you might want to add GL budgets for next year.
This new feature:
Allows for advanced planning: Ideal for adding GL budgets for next year or other early planning activities.
Ensures a consistent setup: Follows the same rules during the Year End process.
Provides documentation: Generates an audit report detailing created accounts and reasons for exclusions.
Display Order Added to Cost Centre Group in Code Description Maintenance
We've added a Display Order to Cost Centre Group maintenance. This allows you to define the display order when sorting by Cost Centre Group. Codes without a display order will be displayed below those with an order specified (in code order as previously sorted).
This sort of order will be applied in the following areas and reports:
Job Costs Screen
Job Cost Summary PDF & Excel Reports
Production Report Writer screen & Report Output
Job Transfers Screen
Cost Centre Listing Report
Note: This will also be rolled out for Bill Actuals invoices in Production Invoicing.
Import Fixed Assets in Asset Maintenance
In this release, we have added the ability to import Fixed Assets and their related Depreciation Activity via the Import Assets option in Asset Maintenance.
With the new import fix assets feature, you will:
Save time. Import your fixed assets from an Excel file, especially for bulk asset upload.
Keep you organised. Use our standardised template for a consistent data structure that simplifies asset tracking.
Access Support. Easily find the template and step-by-step guidance in the "Help" section when using the function.
